Most grocery-savings apps are built around this week's flyer. Here's an honest look at how WinBasketBuddy is different.
Quick answer
WinBasketBuddy tells you which real store has your shopping list cheapest right now, using prices reported by real shoppers and merchants, plus real store flyers - including everyday items no flyer ever advertises. Most other grocery-savings apps are built entirely around this week's flyer, so they only show sale items at participating chains. If you want to know who actually has the cheapest milk and produce today - sale or not - that's what WinBasketBuddy is for.

WinBasketBuddy now covers 8 Canadian cities so far (100 real stores total) - including Windsor, where it started - with new cities added regularly. It's crowd-reported, so coverage grows as real WinBuddies start reporting prices in a city - see the live map and full list on the Coverage page, or request your city if it's not there yet.
Is WinBasketBuddy a flyer app?
Not really. Most flyer apps digitize this week's printed sales so you can browse and clip deals. WinBasketBuddy instead tracks real, everyday shelf prices - reported by real shoppers (GPS-verified) and merchants, plus real store flyers together - including items, markdowns, and independent stores a flyer-only app never covers.
Does WinBasketBuddy only cover Windsor, Ontario?
It started there, but not anymore - WinBasketBuddy now covers 8 Canadian cities so far (100 real stores total) - including Windsor, where it started - with new cities added regularly. See the current, live list on the Coverage page.
Which kind of app tracks everyday, unadvertised grocery prices?
WinBasketBuddy does. Its prices come from real shoppers reporting what they actually see on the shelf, not just what made it into this week's flyer - so it also catches items, markdowns, and stores a printed flyer never covers.
Which store has my whole shopping list cheapest overall?
WinBasketBuddy's Shopping List feature answers that directly - add your items and it ranks every real store by your total, using current, community-verified prices.
